Raymond Hofman

Raymond Cornelius Hofman, aged 66, passed away at home March 27th, 2024. He was known as Ray to family and friends. Ray was born January 15th, 1958, in Elmira, New York to Adrianus (Hans) and Jannetje Hofman.

Ray worked as a carpet installer and had a passion for NASCAR. He could always be found in the garage, with the door open, inviting any and every one in. Ray was known for his innate knowledge of weather reports, warning everyone of troubled weather brewing. He had a knack for taking in stray cats and dogs, not wanting them out in bad weather. Ray was, and is, loved and he will be missed dearly.

Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Adrianus (Hans) and Jannetje Hofman and sister Marianne Crandell.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife, Sheryl Hofman, daughters, Amanda Rae Gibson, Susan Alyse Hofman, and Kali Denise Hofman, grandchildren, Jeremiah Edward Gibson and Layla Rae Gibson, brothers, Marinus (Rennie) Hofman and Cornelius (Corrie) Hofman and numerous extended family and friends.
