Richard (Dick) Edgar Littell

December 7, 1927 - June 18, 2022

Richard (Dick) Littell who was born in New York City, New York in 1927. At the age of 94, he went peacefully to be with the Lord on June 18, 2022. Dick married his wife Virginia on August 6th, 1983, in Farmingdale, NY. Together they had five children. He cherished his wife and family. Dick loved people in general and he was eternally kind, smiling, and always ready to help someone out. As a young man, Dick joined the U.S. Navy to serve his country. He had an interest in law enforcement and received an AA degree in Criminal Justice then went on to have a very long, fulfilling career in law enforcement, which spanned more than 30 years. When Dick retired in 1992, he was Deputy Chief of Nassau County Police Department. When he and Virginia retired and moved to Mansfield, he became a member of the Mansfield City Council for many years. He enjoyed golf, traveling, and spending time with his family. Dick is survived by his loving wife, Virginia; children Lori, Daniel, Michael and 6 grandchildren.
