Alice Ann Todd

November 4, 1946 — June 18, 2024

Alice Ann Todd, aged 77, went home to be with the Lord June 18, 2024. She was born November 4, 1946 to Perry and Hazel Lokey in Raymondville, TX. Alice attended Lyford High School where she excelled in sports, band, and academics. She was Salutatorian from Lyford High School in 1965. It was during her senior year in high school that she met the love of her life Johnny Mac Todd. They met at a square dance party in San Perlita, Texas and married on June 5, 1970. They danced together to old country tunes for over 50 years before Mac's passing in 2022. Alice was a devoted wife, working as a teacher, coach, and cocktail waitress to help support Mac through veterinary school at Texas A&M. Together they had three children, Heath, James, and Jenny.

Alice was an exceptional mother; she adored her children and was always there when they needed her. She was polite, respectable, and the kindest soul to grace this earth. Alice's faith was unwavering. She showed the love of Christ wherever she went.

Alice was an avid gardener, enjoyed working crossword puzzles and loved going to garage sales. She was a sports fan, cheering the loudest for the Texas Rangers. Alice loved her dogs and at her husband's clinic, would often help assist in the dog grooming portion of the business,

Alice is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Dr. Johnny Mac Todd and parents Perry and Hazel Lokey.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory: children John Heath Todd and wife Meredith, James Todd and wife Alisha and Jenny Todd; granddaughters Angelica, Elizabeth, Alex, Annie, and Greenley, and grandson Johnny Madison; sister Karol Kay Christena and husband Richard; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

May Alice rest in peace, knowing she was cherished and loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
