Betty Ruth Halteman

September 17, 1940

Betty, age 85, of Venus, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026.

Betty was preceded in death by Paul Halteman; her parents, John and Ruby Henry; and her siblings, Johnny Henry, Alma Henry Girselheart, Roger Henry, and Jimmy Henry.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, James and his wife Sharon Halteman of Venus, Texas; Glen Halteman of Grand Prairie, Texas; and Paula and her husband David Hoschar of Joshua, Texas. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Tyler and his wife Rachel Doyal of Grandview, Texas; Dylan and his wife Tatem Doyal of Burleson, Texas; and Vanessa Halteman of Webster, Texas.

Betty was especially blessed with great-grandchildren Ezra O’Dell, Annie O’Dell, Amelia Doyal, and Jack Doyal, all of Grandview, Texas. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends who will miss her greatly.

Betty dedicated her life to being a homemaker, creating a home filled with love, warmth, and care for her family. She loved all animals, horses and dogs being her favorite, especially her beloved dog Eli.

Known for her kind and welcoming spirit, Betty never met a stranger. She greeted everyone with a smile and had a way of making others feel instantly at ease. Her gentle nature and caring heart left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Betty was a faithful member of the Maypearl Church of Christ, where she found joy, fellowship, and strength in her faith.
