Daniel Dwayne Steinman

Daniel D. Steinman, affectionately known as Pop, passed away at home on Friday March 20, 2026 surrounded by his family at the age of 80.

Pop was born on January 24, 1946, to Warren and Virginia Steinman in Joaquin County, California. Growing up Pop was not fond of school however he did attend through college until he joined the Army in 1965, where he served through 1972 during the Vietnam War.

Pop moved to Mansfield Texas in 1983 and in 1985 he married the love of his life Joyce Barksdale Steinman, known fondly as O’me. Together Pop and O’me built a life together with a beautifully blended family and friends.

Pop is preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Steinman; father, Warren Steinman; his beloved wife Joyce Steinman; brothers Jim Steinman and Don Steinman; son Stephen England and son-in-law Gray Curb.

Pop is survived by sons Jeffrey and wife Ginger, Doug and wife Julie; daughters Sheri, Rebecca and Paige; grandchildren Nick and wife Lacey, Holly and husband Austin, Lindsay and husband Aaron, Lucas and wife Danica, Kaleigh and husband Matt, Kennedy, Avari, and Kai; and great-grandchildren Makayla, Andrew, Bailee, Lennon, Harrison, and Greyson.

A celebration of life will be held for Pop on Saturday May 2, 2026, at Family Time Events (1791 FM 1187 Mansfield Texas 76063) from 1-4 pm. In Lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Lucky Fund via Mansfield Animal Care and Control.
