After completing high school, Dortha met and fell in love with Earl F. (Andy) Andrews. Their love story blossomed, leading to their marriage on September 7, 1965. Dortha embraced her role as a stepmother to four children: Ellen Thompson, Wayne Andrews, George Andrews, and James Andrews. She cherished her family and took pride in nurturing and supporting each of them, ensuring they had a loving home filled with laughter and faith.
Professionally, Dortha dedicated herself to serving her community as a Matron/Dispatcher for the Mansfield Police and Fire Department. Her work required a blend of compassion and strength, qualities she embodied effortlessly. Dortha's unwavering commitment to her job and the safety of her community exemplified her character and enhanced the lives of countless individuals.
Known for her kind-hearted nature, Dortha was always willing to help others in need. Whether it was offering a listening ear or a helping hand, she made it a priority to support those around her.
