Eldonna May Bowden, 82, of Mansfield, Texas, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2014 surrounded by her sons, daughter-in-laws, and granddaughters.
Eldonna was born on July 29, 1932 in Marion, Indiana, the daughter of Cary Myers and Velma May Stevens Myers. She came from a family of 6, with four sisters and one brother. In 1958 on a blind date she met her soon to be husband James Ray Bowden. They married June, 12 1959. Eldonna was a secretary at Marion High school for 15 years until she retired in 1990, and moved to Texas that same year. She was a dedicated member of First United Methodist Church of Mansfield, where she spent several years working at the preschool.
Survivors include Sons, Rick (Tiffany) and Greg (Teresa); granddaughters, Haley and Keely; sisters, Gladys Hall, Georgeanna Cates, Maryhanna Hosier, Carolyn Hutchens; brother, Phillip Myers
