Erik Daniel Jimenez

Erik Daniel Jimenez passed away on September 6, 2026, in Mansfield, Texas, at the age of 35. He was born on April 7, 1991, in Arlington, Texas.

Erik was a 2009 graduate of Mansfield High School. He was known as a very kind, loving, respectful, and gentle person who brought warmth, laughter, and joy to everyone around him. He loved his family and friends, and enjoyed sports the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, and the Spurs. He also liked spending time playing video games and enjoyed grilling, and spending time with those he loved. Erik will always be remembered for his loving heart, gentle spirit, and warm smile. 

He will be deeply missed by his family Erik is survived by his parents, Daniel Jimenez and Kathryn Jimenez; his sisters, Andrea and Michelle Jimenez Cortez; Michelle’s husband, Federico Cortez; his brother-in-law, Marco Perez; his nieces, Jasmine Martinez, Jocelyn Carter, Nevaeh Flores, and Destiney Luna; his nephews, Jesus Perez, Jr. Luna, and Adam Dominguez; and his Aunt and Uncle, Carmen and Andy Hitzges, and his Aunt Mary Fraass. Also family and friends that live in South America Bolivia. He held a cherished place in the lives of his family/friends, and his kindness, warmth, and loving spirit will remain with them always. 

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Leo Hitzges, and his grandmother, Mildred “Peggy” Hitzges, Uncle John Hitzges and Aunt Joan Hitzges, and Aunt Sharon Wintermute. 

Visitation will be held on September 11, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Blessing Funeral & Cremations, 401 Elm St, Mansfield, Texas 76063. A funeral service will take place on September 12, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Blessing Funeral & Cremations, 401 Elm St, Mansfield, Texas 76063. Burial will follow on September 12, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, 8301 US Highway 287 Business, Arlington, Texas. 

Erik’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
