Errol Lynn Johnson

Errol Lynn Johnson, 79, of Mansfield, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2026, at 10:05 a.m. after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Lynn was born on December 27, 1946, in Borger, Texas, to Emory and Jewell Johnson. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

 Lynn and Beverly shared a remarkable life together, defined by deep love, unwavering partnership, and devotion to their family. Together, they built and operated Lynn Johnson Custom Homes for over 30 years, creating not only beautiful homes but a lasting legacy of hard work and integrity. More than anything, Lynn cherished Beverly—she was truly the center of his world, and their life together was his greatest joy.

Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, Emory and Jewell Johnson, and his sister, Carol Timms.

He is survived by the love of his life, his devoted wife, Beverly Johnson; his daughters, Melissa Strausser and her husband Kelly Strausser, and Aimee Whitfield and her husband Chris Whitfield; his grandchildren, Cooper Whitfield, Alexis Lewis and her husband Scott Lewis; his great-grandson, Hudson Lewis; his brother, Phillip Johnson; his sister, Joan Mason and her husband Bob Mason; his brother-in-law, Kelly Cooke and his wife Charlotte; his sister-in-law, Cathy Burrell; and many nieces and nephews.

He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, a talented musician, and a man who embraced life fully. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, and spending time with those he loved most.

In accordance with his wishes, no formal services will be held, and a private family gathering will take place.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
