Faye Patterson Rydell

Edna Faye (Patterson) Rydell passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, in Denton, TX, at the age of 87.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Rydell, in 1992, her father, Newton Carroll (Newt) Patterson in 1955, her mother, Nancy Jane (Jenny) (Kemp) Patterson in 1992, her sister, Doris Sue Patterson, in 1928, her sister Addie Ruth (Patterson) (McDonald) Lile, in 1997, her sister, Martha Jane (Patterson) Oehler in 1979, her nephews, Robert Carroll McDonald in 1996, and Ronny McDonald in 2016, her niece, Vickie Ruth (McDonald) Broussard in 2010, and her brothers-in-law, Larry Rydell in 2012, and Kenneth Lile in 2022.

Her survivors are her nieces, Sandra Jane (Oehler) Frantz of Krugerville, TX, Martha Ann Frantz and nephew-in-law Chris Gonzales, of Denton, TX, great niece and nephew, Ava and Jordan Gonzales, niece-in-law Vicky McDonald, great nephews, Kevin and T-Rex McDonald, great niece-in-law, Candace McDonald, great-great nephew Lukas McDonald, sister-in-law Darlene Rydell, nephews Brandt and Lance Rydell, other nieces, nephews, cousins, along with many friends, and her family at Bellaire Assisted Living.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made to the Mansfield Cemetery Association. 

Services for Faye will be held at Blessing Funeral Home with a Visitation at 10am followed by a Funeral Service at 11am.  Immediately after we have a Commital service at Mansfield Cemetery.
