Flora B. Ward

Flora Ward , 88 of Alvarado TX, went home to be with the Lord on July 18th, surrounded by her loving family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Born on August 12, 1936, Flo lived a life marked by unwavering faith, devotion to her family, and a fortitude rooted in her love for the Lord and others. The beloved wife of the late O.B. Ward, they built a beautiful life on their family farm, where she remained after his passing.

A woman of virtue and gentle wisdom, Flo found joy in life’s simple blessings like enjoying time with her family. She was a faithful member of Retta Baptist Church and enacted her faith every day through kindness, generosity, and grace.

Though she will be deeply missed, we rejoice knowing she is now reunited with her beloved husband and son and rests in the arms of her Savior.

Flo is preceded in death by her husband Orbon Barnett Ward, and son Jeff and daughter in law Allison Ward.

She is survived by her sons Danny and wife Carol Ward, Duane Ward, daughter Teresa and her husband Wayne Hook, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 29 @ 12:00 pm at Retta Baptist Church, 13201 Rendon Road in  Burleson, TX. There will be a visitation held from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm  before the service begins.
