Gerald Franklin Seeton

April 23, 1954 — September 27, 2026

Burleson, TX

Gerald Franklin Seeton was called home the afternoon of Sunday, September 27, 2026, at the age of 72. He is survived his son Kurt Seeton and daughter-in-law, Jana, his son, Jeff Seeton, grandchildren Katelyn, Lauren, Britt, Jack, and Kasen, brother George Seeton, sister Mary Ellen Jones, sister Patty Spurgeon and husband Ron, and sister Mickey Walker, along with a niece and five nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Martha Sue and Claudie Seeton, sister Dot Farmer and husband Larry, and wife of fifty-one years, Robbin Seeton.

Gerald was born to Claudie Seeton and Martha Sue Seeton in Waxahachie, Texas on April 23, 1954. He was married to Robbin Seeton on March 22, 1975, and raised two sons, Jeff and Kurt. Throughout their upbringing he enjoyed going to the “deer woods” and going fishing. For much of his life, he owned a construction company, running a successful business to provide for his family. Gerald was a man of principle, work ethic, and unwavering devotion to his word.

In his seventy-two years on this earth, his proudest achievement was the title “Paw-Paw”. When Katelyn, Lauren, Britt, Jack, and Kasen were born, he was changed! You would never know that he had the perpetually swollen hands of someone who worked from sun-up to sun-down, carried the weight of raising two young men the right way, or bore the responsibility of ensuring his family had everything they needed. His grandchildren healed those wounds and infected his soul. Gerald relished the opportunity to go to ball games, school graduations, performances, and bask in the legacy he and Robbin created. Shortly after Britt, Jack and Kasen could walk, they learned to drive a tractor, feed cattle, and put out hay. Katelyn and Lauren were Paw Paw’s princesses. He suddenly had a bottomless candy jar and forgot that “No” was an appropriate response to outrageous requests!

Today, we celebrate the life of Gerald Franklin Seeton and rejoice that he is in the presence of The One who gave his only son for our sins. We rejoice that he is reunited with his wife, Robbin, in eternal life. We appreciate the family and friends for celebrating with us today.
