Geraldine Stephanie Rodrigues, a beloved homemaker known for her kind-hearted and loving nature, passed away on November 23, 2025, in Mansfield, Texas. Born on September 2, 1937, in Honolulu, Hawaii, she graduated from Star of the Sea Catholic Girls School in 1956. Geraldine's journey through life was marked by her unwavering positivity, gregarious spirit, and deep concern for others, traits that made her a cherished presence in the lives she touched.
On May 11, 1957, she married David M. Rodrigues, and together they built a family filled with love and laughter. Geraldine's role as a wife and mother was of utmost importance to her, and she embraced it with enthusiasm and devotion. She was blessed with three sons: David, James, and Donald, to whom she imparted values of kindness and compassion. Additionally, her legacy continues with her grandchildren, Alicia, Alex and Andrew, as well as her great-grandchildren—Scott, Sadie, Hazel, and Noah.
Geraldine was a woman of many interests, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved a good romance story, had a fondness for watching soap operas and an appreciation for flowers, especially roses. In her leisure time, she enjoyed playing Solitaire and cherished moments spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always infusing their gatherings with warmth and humor. Her every interaction was met with a genuine smile, as she listened intently and cared deeply for those around her.
She is predeceased by her parents, Mary and Henry Lopes, along with her younger sister Etta Estrella, and her great-grandchild Elijah Rodrigues. She leaves behind her husband David Rodrigues; Sons David, James and Donald and daughter-in-law Pam Rodrigues; Grandchildren Alicia Pallett and husband Nick, Alex Rodrigues and wife Savannah and Andrew Rodrigues and wife Dina; Great-Grandchildren Scott Pallett, Sadie Pallett, Hazel Pallett and Noah Rodrigues. Although her absence leaves a void, the memories of her remarkable spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
Services to honor Geraldine's life will be held at St. Jude Catholic Church in Mansfield, Texas. A viewing will take place on November 29, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, followed by a Mass from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM. The burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, commencing at 2:45 PM.
Geraldine Stephanie Rodrigues will be remembered not only for the love she shared but also for the joy she brought to those fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of unassuming kindness will continue to inspire all who carry her memory forward.
Following the internment, there will be a meal provided by the Catholic Women's Organization back at St Jude Catholic Church in St. James Hall. All attendees of the funeral service are welcome to join the family for this meal.
