Gladys Abney Fields, 70, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Charlton Methdoist Medical Center Gentiva Hospice Wing.
Gladys was born in Aiken, South Carolina on October 10, 1944, the daughter of John Henry Abney and Grace Pilot Abney. She was married to James Guffie Fields. Gladys was a retired laundry supervisor for nursing home care.
She was preceded in deth by her husband James on March 26, 2004.
Survivors include her three children, Liz Metz, James Fields and Kelley Strickland; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.
