Gleen Dora Reed, a cherished matriarch and beloved friend, passed away peacefully at the remarkable age of 99 on October 21, 2025. Born in Fall Creek, Texas, Gleen was a bright star from the very beginning. She was the daughter of Murray Bryan Johnson and Clydie Mae Johnson, who both preceded her in death. Raised in Fall Creek, Gleen enjoyed a childhood that was rich with the values of family and community.

After completing her education at Granbury High School, Gleen embarked on a lifelong journey defined by her deep-rooted commitment to her family and home. Gleen married her beloved husband, Harley K. Reed, whose presence in her life marked a cherished chapter filled with love and companionship until his passing. Together, they nurtured a family that included their beloved children, Annette Reed Perry and David B. Reed.

As a devoted homemaker, Gleen dedicated her life to ensuring her family was surrounded by love and support. Her personal strength shone through in everything she undertook, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her. Her gentle spirit and caring nature were evident to all, nourishing those around her with kindness and warmth.

Beyond her nurturing role at home, Gleen had a wealth of interests that kept her engaged and vibrant throughout her life. She was an avid reader, an enthusiastic seamstress, and a lover of puzzles. Gleen also held a special place in her heart for Texas A&M sports, showcasing her spirited pride in her home state and its teams.

Gleen's legacy is one of love, resilience, and unwavering support. She will be fondly remembered for her caring demeanor and the joy she brought into the lives of her cherished family and friends. Gleen is preceded in death by her husband Harley K. Reed, her daughter Annette Reed Perry, and her sister Mildred McClendon.

A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on October 28, 2025, at 10:00 AM at 401 Elm St, Mansfield, Texas. Family and friends are invited to gather, reflect, and celebrate the extraordinary life of Gleen Dora Reed, embracing the love and memories that endure beyond her departure.
