Jackie James

Jackie Ray James, age 68, passed away on April 16, 2026. Born on July 19, 1957, in Mansfield, Texas, she was the cherished daughter of Jack and Doris Ray. Jackie was raised in Mansfield, where she attended Mansfield High School and graduated with the class of 1975.

In 1986, Jackie married her beloved husband, Rory James, and together they shared a life filled with love and devotion. They were blessed with one daughter, Janea Franco, who brought immeasurable joy to their family.

For 24 years, Jackie dedicated her professional life to Carter Blood Care, where she worked diligently in human resources. Her commitment and passion for helping others were evident in all she undertook. Outside of work, Jackie found great pleasure in riding horses alongside her daughter, nurturing not only a shared hobby but also a deep bond between them.

Jackie was known to all who met her as loud, proud, and fiercely feisty—a woman who spoke her mind and stood up for what she believed in with unwavering strength.

She is survived by her devoted husband Rory James, her loving daughter Janea Franco, and her brother Ricky Ray. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Doris Ray, and her Aunt Aubrey Lee.

Family and friends will gather to honor and celebrate Jackie’s life at the Blessing Funeral & Cremations, located at 401 Elm St., Mansfield, TX 76063. Visitation will be held on May 1, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place the following day, May 2, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Acton Cemetery, 3628 Fall Creek Hwy, Granbury, TX 76049, at 2:00 p.m.

Jackie’s spirit, characterized by her boldness and heart, will forever live on in the memories of those who loved her. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, love, and a determination to live fully and fiercely every day.
