John Ralph Prince was born June 2, 1934 in Blytheville, Arkansas to Frank Gideon Prine and Barbara Ann Berryhill Prince. He passed June 10, 2026 in Mansfield, Texas.
John grew up in southeast Missouri near Crockett and Steele. He walked to one room elementary school in Crockett near the Mississippi River and later rode bus to school in Steele, Missouri.
At age 18, John joined the United States marines and was stationed in Japan for 20 months. After the Marines, he obtained his Bachelor's Degree from Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas. There he met his first wife, Bette Goolsby, who was later in a fatal car accident. He met his second wife, Janell McFadin in Mansfield, Texas.
John taught school in Denton, Grand Prairie, Navajo Nation, Arizona, El Paso and Mansfield, Texas.
John was a member of Christ Fellowship Church, Mansfield, Texas (formerly First Baptist Church). He taught Sunday School and worked with Royal Ambassadors in Baptist Churches wherever he lived.
John was predeceased by his parents, his four brothers, and his two sisters. John's survivors are his wife Janell, son Sam, daughter Katrina, granddaughters Mackenzie and Elaina, and numerous nieces and nephews.
John will be truly missed. He always had a sense of humor. He was a trustworthy friend, wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
