Judith Kay Sharer of Mansfield, TX, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025. Judith was born in Batesville, IN on August 1, 1940 to Samuel and Violet Reynolds. Judith attended Bedford North Lawrence High School and then a little later in life she married the love of her life Don A. Sharer on September 30, 1989. She was a proud Homemaker and an extremely proud Naval Captain’s Spouse.
Judith passionately cared for her beloved family. She enjoyed every holiday, especially Easter. Judith would talk for hours about her entire family; she had a knack of inserting her love for all of us to whomever listened. She enjoyed cooking and researched new and unique recipes. She enjoyed reading, discussing politics, as well as all world events. She was a fashionista and always dressed as if she were ready to walk the runway. Judith's daughters often teased about shopping with their mother and finding here easily in a shop due to her various hat choices. She enjoyed shopping for home decor and researching home design. She was quite the card game competitor, her favorite games were Euchre, Canasta, and If you didn't play 12 games of Yahtzee at a time, you were no competition for her. Judith also enjoyed bingo and won quite a lot of money in her heyday!
Judith's pastor came to her home to lead her in Bible Study, and she truly enjoyed her time spent with him. If you knew Judith you affectionately referred to her as Mimi. She adored her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Judith worried and deeply cared every day about all she loved.
Judith was preceded in death by her husband Don A Sharer, son Mark David Sears, sister Sandra Jane Reynolds, brother Jerry Ray Reynolds and her parents, Samuel Herbert Reynolds and Violet Esther Ray Reynolds.
She was survived by her daughters Cheryl Lee Talley, Joan Christine McLain and her husband, Alan Glen McLain and son, Paul Douglas Sears. Sisters Vickie Reynolds White and Nancy Reynolds Armstrong. Grandchildren, Shawn A. Petty and his wife Belinda Petty, Nelson P Sears, David Mark Sears and his wife Crystal Sears, Staci Lea Talley, Samantha Alexys McLain and her husband Bryan Hoggatt, and Andrew William Sears. Great Grandchildren, Alyssa Leigh Holdahl, Ayden Cruz Petty, Ryder Joseph Sears. Judith had many cousins, nieces and nephews that she dearly loved.
Judith made an impact on the lives of her family and friends and she will be dearly missed by them.
