Karen Elaine Moser, born on October 3, 1945, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away peacefully on
June 22, 2026, in Mansfield, Texas. With her passing, a fiery and generous spirit leaves our world,
but the love and kindness she shared remain indelible in the hearts of all who knew her.
Karen’s journey began among the rolling fields of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where she learned from her
parents, Dorothy and Raymond Peet, the enduring values of warmth, compassion, and dedication.
Though her parents have preceded her in death, their lessons were evident in every chapter of
Karen’s life. Her family relocated to Martel, Iowa, where she spent her formative years.
Karen worked many years as an Administrative Assistant in the Aircraft Industry in Arlington, TX. Her
time at secretary school was something invaluable to her, and she enjoyed putting her knowledge to
use for her community.
Those who knew Karen remember her as a source of warmth and joy—a person whose thoughtful
gestures and unwavering dedication to her family and friends touch countless memories. Memories
of Karen bloom in moments of laughter, shared stories, and silent acts of support. She was best
known for her compassionate and selfless disposition, with a bit of a stubborn streak. All of her
qualities and quirks made her the woman who was loved so dearly by all who knew her. Karen's
greatest joy in life was being a mother and especially a grandmother, spending as much time as
possible caring for her beloved grandchildren.
Karen’s legacy continues in the lives of her devoted family. She is survived by her loving husband of
40 years, Leonard Moser; their five children, Ann Moser and Carl Moser, Suzan Pauley, Sally
Zamora, and Shiela Hayes as well as 9 grandchildren, Dakodah, Madison, Samantha and Riley
hayes, Jacob and Jared Moser, Andrew Heddinger and Cassandra Kruciak as well as 6 great-
grandchildren. Whether bound by family or friendship, these precious relationships were the
foundation of her happiness and fulfillment.
Karen’s life shines bright through those she loved and the kindness she nurtured, and that's exactly
the way she wanted it to be. Her journey was not marked by grand gestures but rather by the grace
and dignity with which she honored daily living and the profound impact she made through steady,
gentle presence.
We find comfort in remembering Karen’s laughter, in sharing stories that reveal her wit and heartfelt
generosity, and in witnessing the compassion she modeled for the next generation. She has left a
legacy woven with empathy, integrity, and the tenacity of love that gives her memory life.
As we say goodbye, we hold close the privilege of having known and loved Karen Elaine Moser—a
remarkable woman whose spirit will be deeply missed, yet forever cherished by those she touched.
