Kevin Paul Harter Jr., affectionately known by many names—Kevincin, Kevincito, Kevinsote, Little Kevin, Kevin Chico, Big K, Kevinciano, Baby Kevin, and Master Kevin—passed away on April 4, 2026, just days shy of his 25th birthday. Born on April 12, 2001, in Laredo, Texas, Kevin was raised in both Laredo and the Dallas-Fort Worth area, weaving together the rich tapestries of both communities throughout his life.
Kevin graduated from Grand Prairie High School in the Class of 2020, stepping forward into the world with determination and heart. He dedicated his working years as an inspector for Tennessee Steel Haulers based in Laredo, Texas, where his professionalism and diligence were deeply recognized.
Beyond his career, Kevin’s passions painted a vivid picture of the man he was. He cherished video games and computers, relishing the connections and challenges they brought. His love for fast cars, especially Camaros, reflected his vibrant spirit and zest for life’s adventures. Kevin held a special fondness for cookouts, where he would gather friends and family to share not just meals but moments filled with laughter, warmth, and togetherness.
Kevin was a man with an immense and humble heart. To those who knew him, he was unwaveringly loyal—a steadfast friend and family member who always said, “I got you,” meaning it with every fiber of his being. His presence brimmed with kindness, humor, and an infectious joy that shaped the lives of all who crossed his path.
Family meant everything to Kevin. Time spent with his parents, Laura Elena Lugo and Kevin Paul Harter, Sr. were treasured moments marked by love and laughter that will be embraced eternally. He shared a deep and playful bond with his “brother,” Adrian Lugo, full of mischievous fun and heartfelt support. Kevin’s spirits soared when he was in Laredo with his dad, especially while cheering passionately for his beloved San Francisco 49ers, rallying with the spirited battle cry of “Bang Bang Niner Gang.”
Kevin leaves behind a loving and extended family who hold his memory close to their hearts: cousins “brother” Adrian Lugo, Natalie Romero, Citlalli Romero, Katie Romero, Carolina Cabrera, Mario Cabrera, Dora Cabrera, Amy Lee Lopez, Kristy Lopez, and JD Lopez III; aunts Karla Lugo and Lowry; uncles Mario Lugo, Joe Lopez Jr., Sergio Lopez, David Lopez, as well as “Guelo” Victor Lugo, “Guela” Silvia Lugo, and his cherished grandmother Jaine Lopez.
His vibrant soul and generous spirit will continue to echo in every laugh shared, every game played, every cookout savored, and every time someone echoes Kevin’s promise: “I got you.” Kevin Paul Harter Jr. may have left this world too soon at 24 years of age, but his legacy of love, loyalty, and joy will forever resonate with all who knew him.
A Celebration of Kevincin honoring Kevin’s extraordinary journey will be held on April 18, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Blessing Funeral & Cremations, located at 401 Elm Street, Mansfield, Texas 76063. Family, friends, and all who loved Kevin are invited to join in remembering and cherishing the remarkable life of a truly one-of-a-kind soul.
Kevin, or whatever name you hear—Kevincin, Kevincito, Big K, or Master Kevin—know this: We will carry you in our hearts always, cheering loud and proud. And with every call of “Bang Bang Niner Gang,” we’ll remember you. Now, Kevin, from all of us who love you… “We got you.”
