Lois Jane Brantley went to her heavenly home on January 11, 2024. She was born to Charles Wetzel and Eleanor Dolbeer on June 1, 1935, in Carlisle Pennsylvania. She was working on obtaining her degree at Texas Women's University when she met the love of her life, Timothy Brantley, at a soda shop in Denton. They were married six months later on November 25, 1955. Together they shared almost 63 years until his passing in 2018.
Though, those she leaves behind might not have been, she was ready to go home to him.
As one of her grandchildren loving described, Lois was fun, spontaneous, stubborn, a fighter, very tidy, loved sports (especially the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys), she couldn’t turn down a chocolate shake, and sugar was a must! Anyone who did know her could add that she was feisty. She loved her family, and she was dearly loved.
Lois is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Timothy; her parents, Charles and Eleanor Dolbeer; her sister Peggy Joan Huse; her brothers and one other sister; and her son-in-law Billy McIntosh.
She is survived by her eight children Keith Brantley and wife Leslie, Denise Westbrook and husband Brian, Debra McIntosh, Kelly Brantley, Kevin Brantley and wife Edwinna, Diane Herrera, Kenneth Brantley and wife Candice, and Kirk Brantley, 20 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
