Lynda Sue (Hodges) Jones, age 74, of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2026, in Early, Texas, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on December 4, 1951, in Dallas, Texas, to Roy Hodges and Pearl Hodges, Lynda lived a life marked by kindness, dedication, faith, and generosity. She built lasting friendships and touched countless lives through her caring spirit and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

Lynda is lovingly remembered by her sons, Eric Brackenridge and his wife, Tina, and Jeffrey Brackenridge; her grandson, Christian Brackenridge; her granddaughter, Taylor Brackenridge; and three great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sister, Judy Murphey, and her husband, Pat; her sister-in-law, Linda Hodges; and her nieces, Jennifer and Molly.

Lynda was preceded in death by her youngest son, Zachary Reid Jones; her father, Roy Hodges; her mother, Pearl Hodges; her brother, Bob Hodges; and her nephew, Robbie Hodges.

Those who knew Lynda will remember her love of good food, the joy of a glass of wine shared with friends, and the happiness she found in family gatherings. Her warm smile, generous heart, and welcoming nature made everyone feel at home.

Lynda’s pride and joy were her grandchildren. She treasured every moment spent with them and could always be found cheering them on from the sidelines at their sporting events, celebrating their accomplishments, and encouraging them with unconditional love.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on June 15, 2026, at Laurel Land Memorial Park Cemetery, located at 6000 South R L Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75232.

Lynda’s love, wisdom, and presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered by family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by her.
