Margaret "Peggy" McElvoy

Margaret (Peggy) Loretta Macmillan McElvoy was lifted into heaven on Friday, August 9th, 2024. She was born August 13, 1932, in Detroit, Michigan to Duncan and Ethel Macmillan. Peggy had 5 sisters, Helene (deceased), Patricia Macmillan Blem of Sarasota, FL, Rita (deceased), Marilyn, (deceased) and Maureen (deceased).

 She met the love of her life Thomas P. McElvoy, they married Oct. 24, 1952. Together they had 4 children, Judith Ann Campbell (Mark), Gerald Thomas McElvoy (Lisa), Nancy Marie Russell (Jeffrey), and Kathy Lynn Henderson-deceased (Ronald). Together they moved from Michigan to Texas in 1980. 

Peggy was active in the community and was a member of Walnut Creek Country club for over 20 years. Once retired, they continued to golf and travel the world. She was very active in the Mansfield community. Her favorite activities included ceramics and volunteering at St. Jude Catholic Church. Her faith and her family were always her top priority. 

She leaves behind 8 grandchildren, Ryan Campbell (Ashley), Matthew Campbell (Camille) David Campbell (Brittney), Kelli Ladd (Stephen), Justin Russell (Christina), Madison Russell, Joshua Henderson and Meghan Otts (Colton). She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.

 Services for Peggy will be Friday August 16th 1:00 pm at St Jude Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers her family request donations be made in her honor to St Jude Research Hospital
