Margie Bell

Margie Lou Ashby was born on August 21, 1939, in Fort Worth, Texas, to James Bell, Sr. and Majorie Huff. She peacefully went to be with the Lord on October 13, 2025.

On October 9, 1955, Margie married the love of her life, Billy A. Ashby, in Weatherford, Texas. Their union blossomed into a life filled with love and devotion as they joyfully raised two wonderful daughters together. Margie embraced her role as a homemaker wholeheartedly, always ensuring that her family felt cherished and supported.

Throughout her life, Margie held various jobs but truly found her professional calling at General Dynamics (now Lockheed Martin), where she dedicated herself from September 26, 1978, until her retirement on December 21, 1998. After retiring, Margie and Billy settled in Clifton, Texas, where they continued to build a life rich in love and community.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents, James R. Bell, Sr. and Majorie Bell; her beloved husband, Billy A. Ashby; and her brothers, James R. Bell Jr. and Robert Lewis Bell.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Cheryl L. Mills and her husband, Bubba, and Tina Patch; her sister, Karen Everhart; and a cherished legacy in her grandchildren, Shannon Pardue, T'J' Robinson, Jessica Mills, and Danyelle Land. Margie's heart will also live on through her great-grandchildren: Brody Brite, Autumn Brite, Lillie Blair, Traiden Harris, Dax Martin, Priscilla Scott, Destiny Skaggs; and three great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of numerous family members, loved ones, and friends.

Margie's spirit and kindness will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. Her life was a beautiful testament to love and motherhood, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of her family and community.
