Born on August 29, 1938, in Durant, Oklahoma, Nora was the cherished daughter of Nora Lilly Hull Mitts and James Andrew Mitts. She spent her formative years in Durant, where she developed a deep-rooted sense of community and kinship that would stay with her throughout her life.
In 1955, Nora married her beloved husband, Darrel Moline Warner, and together they built a beautiful life filled with the joys of family. Nora was a dedicated housewife, pouring her heart into creating a warm and loving home for her family. She was the proud mother of two children, Larry Allan Warner and Julie Carlson, whose lives she enriched with her endless support and love.
Nora was not just a mother; she was also a loving aunt and friend. Her warmth and cheerful spirit earned her the title of favorite aunt to Lori and Cathy, among others. Known for her kind demeanor, Nora had an uncanny ability to make others laugh and feel valued. She was a devoted Christian, whose faith was evident in every interaction and who inspired those around her with her gentle compassion.
Throughout her life, Nora took great pleasure in reading the Bible and watching old Westerns, finding comfort and joy in these pastimes. She truly appreciated the simpler things in life, often sharing stories and laughter with her family that would become cherished memories.
Nora is survived by her loving son, Larry Allan Warner, and her devoted daughter, Julie Carlson. She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren, Christopher Carlson and Ashley Carlson, and her great-grandson, who brought her immeasurable joy. Nora's sister, Mary Manry, along with her nephews, Stephen Manry and James Daniel Loveless, and her nieces, Sheree Prince, Kathy LaBelle, Sherry Lotze, Debbie, and Lori Clark, also carry her memory in their hearts, as does her great nephew, Stephen Brett Manry Jr.
