Olen T. Knowles, Jr

Olen T. Knowles, Jr., born on November 6, 1944, in Vernon, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2025, after a long battle with Dementia. A proud Veteran, Olen dedicated a portion of his life to serving his country in the United States Army as a Combat Engineer from 1966 through November 1968. His commitment to service is a testament to his character and dedication to his nation.

Olen was a devoted father to his sons, Casey Knowles, and Trey Knowles. The bond between him and his family is cherished and will be an eternal part of their memories. He is preceded in life by his son, Billy B. Knowles, father O.T. Knowles, and mother Penny Knowles.

Olen leaves behind his beloved sons, Casey and Trey Knowles, and Claudia Knowles, as well as his sisters: Mary Munday and husband Doyle Munday, Cathy Young and husband Gene Young, and Donna Bethke. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Lori Myers, Gwen Smith, Jay White, Justin White, Julia Wegmiller, and Amy Anderson, along with a host of friends who will remember him fondly.

A memorial service to honor Olen T. Knowles, Jr. will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at Blessing Funeral Home located at 401 Elm St, Mansfield, Texas. Military Honors will commence at 10:00 AM. The service will commence after Military Honors.
