David devoted many years of his life to the marble industry, and later he embraced a second calling, serving with pride and commitment as a Park Ranger at Lloyd Park in Grand Prairie until his retirement. His deep appreciation for nature and the outdoors enriched the lives of countless visitors and colleagues alike.

Beyond his professional achievements, David was a man who carried a heart the size of Texas. He found joy in collecting marbles, coins, and watches—hobbies that reflected his meticulous nature and appreciation for the small yet beautiful details in life.

He is survived by his loving brother, Roger Hale, and his wife Barbara; sisters Barbara Wilson and her husband Melvin, and Sandy Johnson; as well as a devoted family that includes nephews Trey Hale and his wife Susan, Paul Johnson and his wife Amber, Josh Johnson, Nick Johnson and his wife Kayla; nieces Colt Briscoe and her husband Bill, Brittney Johnson; and many great nieces and nephews. David was also cherished by his uncle Jimmy Hale and numerous cousins who remember him fondly.

David was preceded in death by his father, CW2 Retired Roger Lee Hale, and his mother, Gisela Weiss Hale, whose memories he held close throughout his life.

David Hale’s enduring spirit, his dedication to family, and his love for the natural world leave a profound legacy. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who had the privilege to know him.
