Resa Black

Resa Renà Black, 55, passed away on June 23, 2026at 6:50pm surrounded by loved ones and her husband Shannon Black. Services will be held on Saturday July 11 Th at 10:30am at Christ Fellowship Church located at 1800 E. Broad ST. in Mansfield, Tx. 

Resa was born on July 22, 1970 in Williamsburg, VA to Parents Mike and Kathy Smalley. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She loved to sing ever since she was a little girl. She loved to sing karaoke with her family and even took her love of music and started a duo group with her friend Casey Greene called Open Hearts where they would write their own Christian songs and would sing them at different places. She was a wonderful wife to her husband Shannon who she stood alongside and was faithful to for 26 years of marriage. And anyone who knew her knew that she loved her boys, Bryce & Zack. Resa had many friends and was loved by many. 

She is survived by her husband, Shannon Black of Grand Prairie; her sons, Bryce Langford and wife Victoria of Crystal Springs, Ms and Zackery Black of Grand Prairie; her parents, Mike Smalley and wife Kathy of Mansfield; her brother Phillip Smalley; Her Grandmother, Willie Mae Hubbard; her grandson, Finley Langford; and many nieces and nephews and Great nieces and nephews as well as cousins.
