Rodney Alan Love

April 1, 1958 — December 6, 2019

Rodney Alan Love, 61, passed away December 6, 2019 in Arlington, Texas.
Rodney, the son of Norman and Clydie Love, was born April 1, 1958 in Childress, Texas. He grew up in Childress, and spent most of his childhood at the corner of Ave B and 6th Street NW, where his parents lived for close to 50 years. He loved Childress, the Bobcats, and bled Bobcat Blue.
Rodney graduated from Childress High School in 1976 and went to work for Burlington Northern Railroad.
On February 23, 1987, he earned an Associates Degree from Texas State Technical College in Amarillo, Texas. After earning his degree, he proudly began working for TXU Electric, where he was employed for more than 30 years of dedicated service.
On June 28, 1991 he married Teresa Ann George, and with his two sons and her two sons they moved to Snyder, Texas and embarked on a journey of family and life together. This past June they celebrated 28 years together. Rodney enjoyed spending time and traveling with his wife Teresa, spending time with his sons, their wives, his grandchildren and his father-in-law, along with cheering for the Dallas Cowboys.
A thoughtful, caring husband and father, Rodney is lovingly remembered and treasured in the lives of his family and those who knew him. Rodney was a kind-hearted man, slow to anger and equipped with a
servant's heart. His love for Jesus and devotion to Christ's teachings informed his nature of sacrifice and dedication to his family.
Rodney was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Clydie Love. He is survived by his wife, Teresa Love; brother, Norman Don Love; son, Mark Love and wife Somer; son, Scott Love and wife Elizabeth; son, Mac McCraw and wife Haley; son Brandon McCraw and wife Nancy; grandchildren, Eli
