He was a dedicated professional, working for PDQ Staffing as an Account Executive for over twenty-five remarkable years. In his role, Troy took immense pride in fostering lasting relationships, understanding that helping people find jobs was not just a duty but a calling. His commitment to ensuring that clients became "Customers for life" speaks to his character and work ethic.
An alumnus of Texas Lutheran College, Troy’s education laid the foundation for a successful career, but it was his strong-willed nature, resilience, and passionate approach to life that truly defined him. He possessed a unique grit and spirit that inspired everyone around him. Troy was known for his enthusiasm for life, engaging fully in everything he loved—especially his family and friends.
Throughout his life, he called various places home, including New Orleans, Plano, Lumberton, Fredericksburg, and Carrollton, Texas. These locations provided the backdrop for cherished memories filled with laughter, love, and shared experiences.
Troy enjoyed a vibrant array of hobbies and interests. He was an avid fan of watching movies, attending Astros baseball games, and proud fan of Longhorn and Cowboys football. Fantasy football was another hobby he enjoyed and ended up making lifelong football buddies. His love for classic rock music, particularly the band The Cars, resonated deeply with his joyful spirit. He relished exploring new restaurants with his family, always eager to forge new memories over a good meal. Hunting was another passion of his and he enjoyed sharing it with his brother Doug and his friend Marko. Spending time with his family was what gave him joy most of all. He was extremely proud of each of his children and considered them his greatest accomplishment.
He leaves behind a loving family, including his spouse, Marina Munoz-Mumme, and his children: Erin, Valerie, Tori, Yazmine, Mason, and Madison. Troy was also a proud grandfather, deeply cherished by Henry, Lily, Elizabeth, Weston, and Ensley. He is survived by his brother, Doug Mumme, and sister-in-law, Marie Mumme, along with his nephews Austin James and Chandler Mumme. Although Troy is preceded in death by his father, Richard "Skip" Mumme, and mother, Mary Jane Ruhland, the legacy of his love, spirit, and passionate devotion to family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
Troy Leon Mumme will be remembered not only for his professional achievements but also for the unwavering love and joy he brought into the lives of his family and friends. His spirit will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
