Vidalina Rodriguez – Quiles de Bosque, age 91, passed away in Medical City Hospital, Arlington, TX on Tuesday September 30, 2025, around    8:30 pm.

Vidalina was known to most as “Mother”. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother.

She was born on October 25, 1933, in Barrio Yahuecas, Adjuntas, Puerto Rico to Vidal Rodriguez and Maria Quiles. Here she grew up with three brothers (Alberto, Ismael, and Raul) and one sister (Enid).

After completing sixth grade her parents decided that was enough school for a girl! She was extremely disappointed because she loved school and had a strong desire to become a nurse.

When Vidalina Rodriguez – Quiles turned 19 years old, she married her first love Bienvenido Bosque – Luciano age 22, on November 15, 1952, and had four children.

Their first two children, Ivette (1954) and Jose (1955), were born while Father was still in the United States Army during the Korean War. After Father left the army, Mildred (1959) and Adalberto (1960) were born.

From Adjuntas they moved to Ponce where the children were in grade school. The next move was from Ponce to Barrio Dominguito in Arecibo where Father was working in the Arecibo Ionosphere Observatory. During these years Mother was a homemaker and strongly focused on the children’s education.

In 1969, after attending Evangelistic meetings, Father, Mother, and the four children decided to be baptized as Seventh Day Adventist. Since the day of baptism, Mother’s life mission was to tell everyone about the Love she found in Jesus and encouraging others to prepare for Jesus’s Second Coming.

When the Lord called Father and Mother to work in the Antillean College in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico as a missionaries in 1976, Vidalina became the assistant of the nutrition specialist in the University Cafeteria until her retirement in 1996.

As Father’s health declined, Adalberto, the only child left in Puerto Rico checked them weekly for their needs, driving from his home to Mayaguez, three hours one way.

Then after two hurricanes destroyed the Puerto Rican Island in 2017, Vidalina and Bienvenido moved to Arlington, TX and since then have been living with Jose and daughter-in-law Brenda.

In 2018, during Father’s sickness and last days of life, Mother was dedicated to caring for him day and night until his death in October of the same year.

Not long after his death, Mother’s health started to deteriorate and for the next six years she became a dialysis patient.

As expressed by her daughters, “Mother was sweet and honest. She honored God, her marriage, and was dedicated to her children. Most of all she was a candle in our life, guiding us, encouraging us to follow the Lord, and setting an example of how to honor his word”.

Mother will be buried on Friday, October 17, at 2:30pm in the Dallas -Fort Worth National Cemetery alongside her husband Bienvenido.

Their epitaph says, “Till we meet again”.

Mother’s hope is to meet again one day at Jesus Second Coming and her invitation to all is “To be ready so we can one day meet again under the Tree of Life”. Could you accept her invitation?

We appreciate the great love and care given to Mother by all care takers, her friends, and family. Your devotion to our mother will never be forgotten.

Survivors include: her two daughters Ivette and Mildred, two sons Adalberto and Jose, her sister Enid, and her brother Raul as well as her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
