Wanda Sue Cobb

August 14, 1938 — August 1, 2025

Wanda Sue Farr Cobb, 86, of Mansfield, Texas, passed away August 1, 2025. She was born August 14, 1938, in Arlington, Texas, to John Farr and Thelma Wooten.

Wanda graduated from Arlington High School in 1957, laying the foundation for a vibrant life filled with love and laughter. She had a passion for cooking and often prepared meals for family gatherings…meals where her love could be tasted in every dish. She enjoyed playing dominoes and bingo, sharing countless moments of joy with family and friends. A devoted sports fan, Wanda also loved relaxing in front of the television, especially when the Hallmark Channel was on, reflecting her deep appreciation for heartfelt stories and warmth.

She worked as a switchboard operator and receptionist at local car dealerships for over 50 years, where she was loved by coworkers and customers alike.

Above all, Wanda treasured time with her family and friends. She was especially proud of her five beautiful great-granddaughters, who brought an extra sparkle to her life. Wanda will always be remembered as a devoted single mother who worked tirelessly to provide for her two sons, never forgetting, along the way, to keep her hair and nails looking beautiful.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Charlie Farr and Thelma Virginia Carolina Wooten, as well as her aunts and uncles: Austin Farr, Granville Farr, Troy Farr, Louise Farr, Gracie Wooten, Eunice Wooten, C.F. Wooten, and Charles Wooten.

Wanda is survived by her two sons, Johnnie Cobb (wife Peggy) and Ronnie Cobb; her grandchildren, Conrad Cobb (wife Sharee), Casey Happel (husband Michael), and Colby Cobb; her five great-granddaughters, Charley, Emmie, Ellie, Addison, and Ruby; her brother, Johnny Farr; her aunts, Edith Farr and Louise Mitchell; her cousin, Patsy Mitchell; along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
