William Mack Mabe

William Mack Mabe, resident of Rendon, formerly of Fort Worth, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2025 at the age of 86.

Mack was born in Fort Worth, Texas on June 6, 1938 to Jewel Mabe and Lomis Chapman Mabe. He studied communications at Texas Christian University which led to a successful career in the insurance and benefits industry. He remained a loyal TCU football fan for his entire life. Mack was known for his passion for German Shorthaired Pointers. His nationally recognized kennel, Oakridge Shorthairs, won many championship awards and contributed to the growth of the breed. Mack was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church and was an honored member of First United Methodist Church Mansfield for 53 years. He will be dearly missed by his many friends and family.

Mack was preceded in death by his beloved wife of more than 60 years, Eva West Mabe. Mack is survived by his sons, Kyle Mabe and Chris Mabe and wife Julia, his grandchildren Will and Hannah, his step-grandchildren Molly, Marshall, and Emma, his step-greatgrandchild Lacey, his sister Marilyn Mabe Basham, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on May 3, 2025 at 11 am in the chapel at First Methodist Mansfield located at 777 North Walnut Creek Dr. in Mansfield, Texas.
